PrePlanning for Quarterly General Assembly Q3Y24

Hey Folks,

Here’s a quick post about what I’m planning for the upcoming Quarterly General Assembly. Feel free to comment in reply or ask any questions. Feedback desired and welcome.

• A2 Concept Presentation: This is the one most people saw at the steering meeting.
• A2 Members GA Slides for Q3-2024: These are intended to be self-instructing, so people can understand how to fill the slides from just looking at them. But some extra context may be nice.

Note: Both of the above are in Google Drive folds that Steering Folks should be able to access.

Next Steps:

1. (Y’all) Feel free to improve the GA slides, or give feedback.
2. Discourse post to clarify how GA will work with instructions on how to use the GA slides. @syshimizu assisting?
3. Email blast to members. Co-author anyone?
4. Drive members to Discourse to create accounts and contribute to setting up questions.
5. ReBroadcast the General Assembly dates with (hopefully) mostly full slides.
6. Lineup A/V assist and setup volunteers.
7. Hold the assembly

Point 2) would be a post version of your concept slides, right? Would you actually handle that @lyle ?

I can send an email blast to members about the GA, but first I’ll send an email to members about the Discourse in general.

The second email about the GA would be a good reminder/reinforcer to make an account.
